Prior to joining Frontenac in 2004, Julie Bender worked for five years in mergers and acquisitions financial advisory at The Chicago Corporation and Heller Financial. She also served three years in public accounting and two years as a staff accountant at Frontenac, prior to business school. She has BS in Accounting from Indiana University and an MBA from Northwestern University. She is a certified public accountant.


Karen Fanelli is Frontenac's chief financial officer, with responsibility for the firm's financial administration, as well as limited partner reporting and communications. She joined Frontenac in 1988 with previous experience at Stein Roe & Farnham and Ernst and Young. She graduated from the University of Missouri with highest honors and is a certified public accountant.


Deb Cooper is responsible for the administrative operations of Frontenac, as well as Human Resources and the internal technology infrastructure of the firm. She joined Frontenac in 1994 after serving as Director of HR Compensation and then Director of Information Technology Operations and Human Resources at the University of Chicago. She attended Purdue University.
